Fay Presto Wins The Magic Circle Close-up Magician of the Year 2012

The deserving and popular winner was Fay Presto who made the room sparkle when she came on to perform her unique, restaurant themed act. This year’s competition for the Devano Trophy, and the title of The Magic Circle Close-up Magician of the Year 2012, was a very close fought battle between eight top magicians, some of whom had entered the competition previously.

Second place went to James Freedman, third placed was new Member Rob James. The Originality Prize was awarded to Steve Price for an act themed around impossible objects.

Other competitors included Andy Clockwise, Spencer Wood, Oliver Meech and Tim Shoesmith - all displaying their admirable skills in front of the judges:  Marvin Berglas, Nick Einhorn, Wayne Dobson as well as three members of the public.
