undergo an interview with one of the senior members of The Magic Circle to establish that they have sufficient knowledge and skills
prepare to pass their examination, within one year.
There is both an initial Joining Fee, which is currently £100, and an Annual Membership Fee, which is between £45 and £150. The annual membership fees are explained below.

Higher degrees are awarded either by further examination or through known performing ability. Promotion may also be given for services to The Magic Circle or to magic generally.
